Located in the northern region of Wagon Wheel Canyon, Coto de Caza is a charming suburban community with plenty of green space. Coto de Caza is one of Orange County’s oldest and most expensive master-planned communities and is home to over 15,000 residents. The area has a warm-summer Mediterranean climate and an average elevation of 709 ft.
Coto de Caza students attend schools in the Capistrano Unified School District, including the high-rated Tesoro and Santa Margarita Catholic High Schools. Residents dine in nearby Rancho Santa Margarita and Mission Viejo, which includes top-rated restaurants like Hanna’s and Todos Santos. Like many Southern Californian communities, residents of Coto de Caza spend most of their time on the golf course. The Coto de Caza Golf & Racquet Club spans the length of the community and is the largest green space available, second only to the Thomas F. Riley Wilderness Park. Famously, Coto de Caza was the original setting of the reality television show “The Real Housewives of Orange County.”
